We have received lots of emails from our readers asking us to review mystery shopping/paid survey sites and see if any of them actually help you get started in this business.
Being a mystery shopper or secret shopper is the business of going to certain stores and restaurants and buying products or services to either give quality control feedback to the company or judge a competitor's product or service. Paid surveys are the same thing with products you use at home and also some non-home assignments. These companies need this information from a third party who will give an accurate and honest survey on their total experience and satisfaction with that particular product or service.
We started our research by joining several programs and discovered that there are plenty of sites and clubs claiming to help you get started with Mystery Shopping. Many of them were actually just scams to get your email address and then hit you with loads of spam. Some of them send you a fake check, tell you to deposit it, buy a couple of things including a money gram. This is another SCAM!
Save yourself the heartache and stay away from these sites and stick with the legitimate ones we discovered during our research.
We reviewed each one and the following is what we found:
Product 1 - Paid Survey System
This was one of our top choices because they had every angle covered and went well beyond the others in making sure we had guidance all the way through getting the assignments to getting paid for them.
It was quick and easy to get started. We had our first assignment within 24 hours. The assignments were great and the surveys were easy to fill out and submit back to the companies. The checks were on time and pay rate was good for the types of assignments. One of our first assignments was testing a shampoo. We used it, filled out the paperwork and got paid $100.00 in our first week.
Paid Survey System was very professional and sent us a variety of assignments that we could pick and choose the ones we liked. This was nice because you can select the assignments that fit into your lifestyle and you can also focus on the ones that pay more.
As far as costs goes, you can get the complete system for $57. You also receive a bunch of bonuses and you can make back the membership costs with the first assignment like we did. For the price, we thought it was a good deal. Amanda Thompson has a great system that gave us results!

Product 2 - Paid Surveys & Shopping
We liked this one because it had great support and offered a variety of assignments. This one also has direct one on one support from their staff to ensure you get started the right way and start making money in a very short period of time.
Paid Surveys & Shopping got us going within the first day and we had our first assignment by the next day. We participated in both the survey side and the shopping side. By doing both you can increase your earnings. We received a well known home cleaning product and tried it out around the house. We turned in our report and within a few days we got paid.
We followed up with some shopping assignments and that was also easy to do and we got paid quickly. The one-on-one guidence is a huge plus and we liked that Paid Surveys & Shopping stood by us in case we had any questions or help.
The cost on this one is also pretty good because they have a 50% off deal going on that makes getting started easy. The normal cost is $69 but, with this code Etc50off you can cut that in half to $34. As with the others in this review, you can usually make the cost back on the first assignment.
With a good program, great support and the reduced price, this was a good deal in our book. We gave them a 9 out a 10 for thier product.

Product 3 - Shop Until You Drop
We liked this one as well. It had great earning potential, got you going in a short period of time and the assignments were easy and fun.
Shop Til You Drop was easy to do and while doing the work, you're getting paid and eating for free. You have to be 18 years of age to start and it's all laid out quite well for you to follow step-by-step.
After signing up, we were able to start getting some assignments in just a few days. We followed the instructions and completed our first assignment (shopping for shoes). A week later we received our first check. This one also had a low membership fee of only $24.95 which you'll easily make that back on your first assignment.
We heard a lot of people liked it because it was very easy to get started with. The only down side is that it offers mostly shopping assignments instead of shopping and surveys like the others we reviewed. This may limit your earnings. If you're looking for shopping only gigs and need a lower membership cost, then this one might fit you better.
